Meet the Team:
Dave Pisanic
Director, Pacific Sales at Archon Secure
Today we would like to introduce you to Dave Pisanic, Director, Pacific Sales at Archon Secure. We sat down with Dave to ask a few questions about his role at Archon Secure and what excites him about covering the Pacific area of operation.
My role at Archon is the Director of Pacific Sales covering the Pacific area of operation. I actually just recently relocated to Hawaii to focus on the customer sets here more. It's great to be here with the leadership on island and have direct customer access. Really excited to be here.
I've been with Archon since day one. I was brought over during the Atilla Security acquisition. I think about a year now, since Archon has been set up and it's been a great ride so far.
I was fortunate to have a mentor early on that was closely aligned with some federal sales and very quickly I learned my passion for technology and learning technology. With always wanting to know more about the technology I found the problem sets that the government was having to be really interesting, ones that were much behind what the commercial world was seeing. I thought if I could use my passion for technology to help solve problems within the government, I found that to be very rewarding and that's something that I have really enjoyed so far.
That's really easy. I think it's two things. I think the people one, and then two the technology. I find myself really fortunate to follow our leadership. I think we have excellent leadership within the company, and I'm able to work alongside some really great leaders as well. I think for me, the educational benefit of working with this company has been excellent. Coming from being the youngest one on the team I'm able to learn so much from my peers, and I think that is an education I wouldn't be able to find at any institution around the world. So, I'm extremely lucky to be a part of this team. And then technology, I think we're solving really great problems. As I mentioned before, the problems that we're solving are real world problems that our government and our military are having. So, I think that the best part is just the reward of applying great technology and solving real problems that are benefiting our nation.
I was lucky enough to be a part of the early days of the GoSilent Cube, from very early on we decided to align it with specific use cases within the Department of Defense. One of the key differentiators in the cube, the audience that we were trying to target was non-technical users easily being able to get up and out on a network. We have public untrusted networks anywhere in the world nowadays. So, the ability for non-tech users to be able to securely leverage those untrusted networks is something that the GoSilent Cube targets directly. We designed a very simple user interface for a user to secure their data, no matter what system they're on, and within just a few clicks of a button.
I think three come to mind right away for me, which is communication, problem solving and teamwork. Communicating with the customer, communicating with our team, solving the problem of the customer, and really understanding what problems we are trying to solve. I think that is most important. Then the teamwork aspect, pulling together the communication and that problem solving, working with our team, working with the customer to really get them to where they want to be with the technology, and solving those problems as well.
I think for me being innovative, service minded, always putting the customer first, trustworthiness, and maybe again, just reliability and accountability. Really just delivering to the customer the best product possible, whether that be, service or technology. Always putting them first. For me, this is always driving me, getting me up every day, understanding there are real world problems that we're solving here. I think that keeps me motivated. I think that the values are being an innovative, service minded, and being reliable, accountable, and trustworthy person that the government can trust to enhance and solve their problems.
That's an easy one for me. I love being on the water, whether that's boating, surfing, fishing, hanging out on the beach. The water is my happy place. So, any time that I can be doing something water related, that's what I'm doing on the weekends and after work.
